Capital Project Management

Capital Project Management - Project administration begins when requests for proposals are prepared for authorized projects. The most qualified firms are recommended to the Board of Trustees for approval. The selected firm's contract is negotiated by the Facilities Management. A construction coordinator is appointed to manage the contract or project. Working with a University appointed user committee, the construction coordinator develops the program for the project and reviews it for compatibility with the project budget. The coordinator then communicates the University's goals to the consultants and manages the design contract, construction process, and the final project closeout phase.
