First 50 year Senior Walk Replacement

Status: Construction

Projected Completion: June 2020

The project replaces the portion of Senior Walk on the east side of Old Main that displays the first fifty years of the University's graduates. The section of Senior Walk is badly deteriorated with several areas of broken concrete and names faded to the point that they are no longer legible. Pieces of the orginal walk will be saved in preparation of a display to document the history. 


Mullins Library Renovation

Status: Construction

Projected Completion: Summer 2021

This project includes installing fire sprinklers and renovating the 3rd and 4th floors of Mullins Library. It will improve and modernize study and collaboration spaces expected in modern libraries. Demolition and abatementare underway with construction expected to begin in May 2020.


Baseball Performance Center

Status: Construction

Projected Completion: Summer 2021

This project includes the construction of a new facility which will include new locker rooms, a weight room, pitching lab, student areas, offices, and common area.  The project broke ground in January 2020.


Pomfret Dining Renovation and Expansion

Status: Substantially Complete

Projected Completion: March 2020

Project includes the renovation of the existing dining and great room areas in Pomfret Hall as well as the addition of a late night dining venue on the east side of the building. Landscaping and the installation of exterior seating is ongoing with completion expected in March 2020. The new kitchen and dining hall in Pomfret is now open. 


Pomfret B Tower Renovation

Status: Construction

Projected Completion: May 2020

This project includes the refreshing and updated the Pomfret B Tower to include movable furniture in each room, updated technology, new flooring and hallway updates.

Old Main Exterior Restoration

Status: Design

Projected Completion: August 2020

This is the second phase of a project started in 2019 to restore the trim on the exterior of Old Main. This phase will focus on the south and west sides and complete the replacement of the exterior lights.


ADPi Renovation and Addition

Status: Construction

Projected Completion: Summer 2020

Project includes the renovation of the original house, razing the 1960's addition, and construction of a new addition on the north side of the building. Construction is ongoing.  


Randal Tyson Indoor Track Renovation

Status: Bidding

Projected Completion: December 2020

This project will upgrade building systems to include HVAC, electrical, and life safety systems as well as refresh the interior and upgrade AV systems.


Central Utility Plant Maintenance Shop and Power Center

Status: Bidding

Projected Completion: Spring 2021

This project includes the construction of a new building to serve as a permanent maintenance and machine shop to support University of Arkansas Utility Operations. It will include a new high voltage power center to support the campus electrical infrastructure.


Track and Field High Performance Center

Status: Bidding

Projected Completion: Spring 2021

The Track and Field High Performance Center will address the immediate needs of our Track and Field program by better serving the day-to-day operations of both the women's and men's programs in a new 25,000 square foot facility. Some of these improvements include updated and enlarged team locker rooms, expanded training and rehab spaces, a dedicated weight room, a team room, and more.


 

 

 

 

 

 

  


 Student Success Center

Status: Construction

Projected Completion: December 2021

Project includes the construction of a new facility between Memorial Hall and Old Main. Sitework and foundations are in progress. 


Epley HVAC Replacement

Status: Design

Projected Completion: Winter 2020

This project includes replacing the failing Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) HVAC system in Epley with a more traditional Hydronic Fan Coil Unit system. 


 Windgate Art and Design District Expansion

Status: Design

Projected Completion: Fall 2021

This project includes construction of a new facility for the School of Art that will consolidate several disciplines currently spread across campus. It will also support the planned expansion of students and faculty. The project will be constructed in the Art and Design district, on the southeast corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and Hill Ave. Construction is scheduled to begin fall 2020.


 Highway 112 Trees and Lighting

Status: Bidding

Projected Completion: Summer 2020

The project will install new landscaping, trees, and pedestrian lighting along Maple Street and Razorback Road.


 Civil Engineering Research Center

Status: Construction

Projected Completion: July 2021

The project includes construction of a 25,000 SF high bay research lab facility near the Research and Technology park. It will include a strong floor and support the testing of full size structural elements.
