Memorial Scholarship

Employees of Facilities Management have established the Physical Plant Children's Memorial Scholarship to benefit dependent children of University of Arkansas employees. The scholarship was established to honor the memories of children of Facilities Management employees who have passed away. 

This scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior entering the University of Arkansas as a freshman during the fall semester. High school seniors who are dependents of University employees are encouraged to apply. Application forms are available at the Facilities Management offices, located at 521 S. Razorback Road, or by downloading the application. Completed applications should be submitted to the Physical Plant Children's Memorial Scholarship selection committee.

Scholarship requirements

A scholarship in the amount of $500 will be awarded to one incoming freshman paid as follows, $250 for the first semester and $250 for the second semester if the recipient maintains a minimum 2.5 GPA.

Qualifications for Receiving Scholarship

Recipient must be a dependent child or grandchild of a full-time employee of the University of Arkansas. Recipient must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be enrolled full-time during the award semester. It is not the intent of the donor that receipt of this scholarship is exclusive to others if the recipient is deemed eligible for other awards.

Qualifications for Maintaining Scholarship

Recipient must maintain a full-time student status and a minimum 2.5 overall GPA.

The committee hopes to award at least one such scholarship each year. Contributions to the scholarship fund are welcome and may be made by direct contribution or automatic deposit. For information regarding making contributions, please contact members of the Scholarship Committee.
