Building Services (Custodial)

Building Services is responsible for maintaining a safe, attractive, and comfortable environment inside all education and general purpose buildings for the University of Arkansas. Our mission is to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations by managing the routine, emergency, and special cleaning at an APPA Level II standard.

More than 140 dedicated professionals work across three different shifts to clean and service well over 120 buildings and 4.5 million square feet. Building Services is also responsible for managing the pest control and window washing efforts on campus, snow and ice removal at all building entrances, locking and unlocking of buildings and classrooms, as well as campus waste management. 

Pest control

Pest Control Services are provided by Delta Pest Control, a state-certified pest management company. They provide general pest control through routine inspections, monitoring and various abatement measures to all education and general buildings, University Housing, and the Arkansas Union.

For emergency pest control services, submit a request to our Service Center. 

Window washing services

Window Washing Services are provided by VIP Special Services, LLC. This contracted service provides window cleaning inside and out for all buildings on the University of Arkansas’ campus. Most buildings will be serviced every other year, while some are serviced each year, with all work taking place during the summer months. Building Executives are notified a week in advance of their respective building’s service.
